International organization

An international organization is an organization, but rather than having people as members, they have individual countries as members. International organizations are active in more than one country. These organizations can not command countries and citizens in a way a government can, but they do make rules that put limit on what governments can do.

Examples of such organizations are the United Nations and the Red Cross.
