The Tutsi (Rwanda-Rundi pronunciation:  [tūtsī]), or Abatutsi, are a population inhabitin the African Great Lochs region. Historically, thay war eften referred tae as the Watutsi, [1] Watusi, [1] Wahuma or the Wahima. The Tutsi form a subgroup o the Banyarwanda an the Barundi fowks, wha reside primarily in Rwanda an Burundi, but wi signeeficant populations an aa foond in Uganda, the Democratic Republic o the Congo an Tanzanie. [2] Thay speak Rwanda-Rundi, a group o Bantu leids.
