Video gaming

Video gaming? This topic was not really relevant in first 3/4 of centuary, and leeds to silly articles like 1933 in video gaming, is there an easy way to make this switchable? --Salix alba (talk) 14:49, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

No, there is no easy way to make it switchable. I suggest removing topics unless they have, or at least could have articles for almost every year of the century. Alternatively, in some cases, the articles could be created as redirects to an appropriate article. Warofdreams talk 03:30, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
meta:ParserFunctions now makes this possible. I've inserted a conditional inclusion which will display the video gaming category only for the years 1952, 1958, 1962, and 1970 onwards. I've tested this for most years, but it may break for the few other non year pages which include it. --Salix alba (talk) 21:29, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
